Funan Techo Canal (Inland Waterway)

Funan Canal Project is a mega inland waterway transport project in Cambodia’s history connecting the Mekong River with the Bassac River through artificial canals, and then flow into Cambodia sea area through the Bassac River, its branches, Takeo, Kampot and Kep, with the total length of approximately 180 km. Upon its completion, the project will significantly enhance Cambodia’s integrated transport system, ensure the safety of the national waterway network, support economic transformation and upgrading, and ultimately promote regional coordinated development.
