The Ministry of Economy and Finance in cooperation with the UK Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA), will host a training workshop on “UK-Cambodia Partnership for Green Infrastructure: Infrastructure and Projects Authority Workshops on Effective Project Development, Funding and Financing”. The training workshop will be held from the January 22nd to January 26th, 2024 at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh, and will be presided over by His Excellency Meas Soksensan, Secretary of State of the MEF, on behalf of H.E. Akka Pundit Sopheacha Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Financeand His Excellency Dominic Williams, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The object of this workshop is to share, disseminate and develop the capacity as well as raise awareness of the PPP project cycle, by focusing on the development of green infrastructure projects and the Green Special Economic Zone (Green SEZ) project through the PPP mechanism, citing case studies based on the experience of the aforementioned project, in order to continue building a strong foundation to support the effective and efficient development and implementation of PPP projects in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The workshop will be attended by representatives from relevant line ministries and institution for disseminate, share experiences and build the capacity of key players directly involved in public investment projects through the PPP mechanism and the implementation of direct projects in the ministries - institutions of the Royal Government of Cambodia to gain a better comprehension for the PPP Projects development cycle, Standard Operating Procedures for PPP Projects in the Kingdom of Cambodia to ensure a successful and effective.
