Webinar on "Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Opportunities in Cambodia"

On 26th September 2024, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF),​ in cooperation with the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, organized a Webinar on “Public-Private Partnership Opportunities in Cambodia” presided over by H.E. Meas Soksensan, Secretary of State of the MEF, on behalf of H.E. Akka Pundit Sopheacha Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the MEF, with around 200 participants from European companies situated in Cambodia, which are members of Eurocham Cambodia.

The Webinar has been conducted and achieved successful results as planned and held for half day through Zoom Conference.Meanwhile, a guest speaker from the General Department of Public-Private Partnership provided presentation to promote and share the PPP Framework and the list of PPP projects in order to better understand the implementation and management of PPP projects to attract more foreign investors from European countries to invest in Cambodia.

On this occasion, His Excellency MEAS Soksensan stated that the Webinar is a platform that provides an opportunity to attract all European investors that attended in this Webinar event to invest through the PPP mechanism in Cambodia in order to align with the Pentagon Strategy-Phase I of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors is a key side of the Pentagon in supporting economic diversification and growth in Cambodia through the development of the public investment projects under PPP mechanism, which aims to foster economic growth.

In conclusion, the Secretary of State expressed his deep gratitude to the representatives of EuroCham Cambodia for their cooperation in organizing this Webinar. In addition, the Secretary of State also invited investors to consider investing in Cambodia through the PPP mechanism.
